Was the world always this way?
People had to work work work the days away?
Was there a time when everyone just played?
Never had to work on any day?
There is one story of Adam and Eve
Until they had to leave
After God got peeved
That they put on fig leaves.
Did those two blow it for all of us?
Make us work every day instead of rest
Too bad they didn’t try their best
To please God and not get Him pissed.
