Johnny
jumped out of the van as soon as it stopped in front of Tara’s apartment. He
was relieved to finally be out of the van with Rooskie. He knew he had come close to losing his
life at the hands of Rooskie but his relief quickly turned to anger once again
with each step he took closer to the apartment. It was clear to Johnny now that Rooskie wanted to kill him
and the only thing stopping him was the woman. Johnny had no intention of
becoming the victim of Rooskie but he also wanted to continue the woman's plan
to make him a rock god and rich again.
He decided he would need to devise a plan of some kind before he ended
up dying at the hands of Rooskie as he entered the apartment.
Tara was sitting on the couch and when she saw Johnny she suddenly got a strange look on her face her head tilting to one side like a puzzled cat. She walked towards him slowly her head stretched out now examining something on Johnny but Johnny did not know what. When she got close enough to touch him she took her hand and brushed it over Johnny's cheek and chin. "You are a fucking MAN!!!!" she screamed. "Oh my God! Oh my God!" at first Tara could not think straight as she repeated her appeal to the heavens again and again. She reeled emotionally thinking how he had fooled her for months and worse how he had done so while she herself was struggling to make ends meet. "Get out of my apartment right now or I'm calling the police!" she roared as she stomped over to the room she had let him use to grab all of his stuff and toss it in the street.
Johnny stood still watching her with his eyes alone as she flew around the room screaming at him in a rage. He was waiting for her to burn out before he said anything to be sure Tara heard what he was waiting to tell her. She held a pile of clothes in her arms that were Johnny's and as she passed him headed to the front door he quietly said " I wouldn't do that if I were you that is my property". Tara stopped and began screaming at him again telling him over and over how he had lied to her to take advantage of her and what a despicable person he was. She dropped the clothes at his feet and walked over to the phone and called the police. Johnny walked over to the couch and sat down.
When the police came, to Tara's shock and amazement, they informed her that she would have to formally evict Johnny if she wanted him out of her apartment because of his already extended stay there. Johnny sat on the couch and laughed to himself quietly as the police told Tara the news he already knew about and had been taking advantage of for some time to his benefit.
When
Johnny spoke to the police it was clear that they didn't like Johnny and wanted
him to just agree to go. But Johnny knew he didn't have to go and that he could
stay a year or even more rent-free if he wanted to. It would take time for Tara
to bring a formal eviction action against him and in the meantime all would
remain status quo until he decided differently. Johnny didn't care what the
police thought or what they wanted. He easily lied to the police that Tara not
only knew he was a man because she had sex with him he added in discrimination
claims asserting he was a transgender. Johnny reveled in his own godly
abilities to work it all so easily to his advantage time and time again. His
new riches and fame were close at hand he was sure of it and in the meantime he
considered the benefit he now had in not having to always dress as a woman
around Tara.
As soon as the police left Johnny told Tara, who was sitting in the kitchen now blankly staring at the wall emotionless, that he was going out for a while and taking her car since she wasn't working today noting that he would be back later when she calmed down. He also told her to clean up the mess she made during her tantrum as he swept her keys off the small table by the couch where Tara had been sitting when he first came in, and gingerly stepped out the door.

Tara
heard the door close but did not look back. Tears swelled in her eyes as she
thought about what had now happened to her life. Last night had been wonderful
for Tara and uplifting when an agent approached her from an agency with a
top-notch reputation. She felt like her life was moving upward and her hard
work was about to pay off now she could no longer feel that joy as it was
replaced with a feeling of horror. So many had warned her about going to Los
Angeles alone to pursue her dream as a jazz singer and now they were all proven
right. People like this didn’t exist in a small town where everyone knew you;
it was impossible.
She
shuddered when she thought about this terrible person being forced to live with
her. The thought that this had occurred because she was a person that was
willing to help someone out who was in a hard spot, or so she thought, made her
feel like a fool. She had always been a helpful person to others and never
hesitated before to lend a helping hand where it was needed. Tara struggled to
accept the truth of her situation and her own actions of trying to lend a
helping hand as putting her in the mess. Tears rolled down her face in such a
stream of sadness that wiping them away was pointless. When her phone rang she
looked down surprised to see it was the agent from last night and started to
panic. The phone had rung twice already as she struggled to pull out of her
despair. By the fourth ring she knew she must answer it but when she said hello
she could not hold it all in. “What’s wrong? Did I call at a bad time? Should I
call back?” he said with a tone that Tara knew she was close to blowing the
closest chance to success she had thus far. “I’m fine really. It’s ok I’m ok”
Tara struggled to make her words sound normal but knew she was failing. She
then quickly added, “Actually I just had my car stolen but I really want to
talk to you and am so very glad you called!”
Bill
really liked Tara and thought with her look and sound she could make it big.
Bill had brought many jazz singers to success and his instincts had already
made him wealthy. He was convinced Tara would be added to his list of successes.
But at first her demeanor on the phone confused him because she was so
different just the night before until she told him she had just had her car
stolen. Bill had been the victim of car thieves too and he understood how that
could shake you up. Thinking about it gave him relief that his latest jazz find
was not a wacko just another victim of car thieves in Los Angeles. He told her
to call the police and meet him later that evening at the Cat Club where she
could sing for some big time producers he was taking there that evening.
When
Tara hung up the phone she felt empowered again. Despite her terrible problem
with the horror living in her apartment now she knew that this opportunity was
likely going to help solve even this problem. If she was able to get a singing
deal and make more money, she thought, she could just move away from Johnny and
never see or hear from him again. She picked up the phone again and called the
police reporting her car as stolen.
Johnny
was driving around Hollywood looking for someone he would like to have sex with
that would pay him for it when suddenly he saw flashes of blue light reflect
from his rear view mirror. Immediately thereafter he heard a voice over a loud
speaker tell him to pull the car over. Johnny pulled the car over getting
enraged over being pulled over, as he was not doing anything at the time that
justified this in his opinion. As soon as he pulled the car over the voice on
the speaker told him to get out of the car with his hand up in the air. Johnny’s
anger boiled over. He opened the car door with a hard push and got out quickly
with his hands up while he yelled at the police officers who were standing
around about how sorry they would all be for fucking with him. The largest of
the policemen there approached Johnny and told him to shut up. Johnny thought for
a moment he looked like Rooskie and he stopped talking.
“This
car you are driving whose car is it?” the large policeman asked. “Its Tara’s
car of course!” Johnny spit back at him knowing he would win again here. “Did
Tara give you permission to drive her car?” he questioned with skeptical tone.
“I have been living with Tara and I still do and she knows I have her car!”
then adding “Tara and I had a little spat today and I guess she decided to make
a false report to the police. What is the criminal penalty for that?!”
The
large policeman took one step back from Johnny when he said this and then
returned to where the other policemen were standing. Johnny noticed that more
police cars and officers had arrived since he first got pulled over. Johnny
stood there feeling his godly powers getting even stronger as he watched him
walk away.
Just
as Johnny thought he was free to leave three of the officers began approaching
him with the largest one telling him to put his hands behind his back. Johnny
realized that they were going to arrest him and he went into a frenzy. Seconds
later the officers tackled him to the ground, hog tied him and threw him into
the back of a police car.
