JANIE DIDNT CARE

Janie didn’t care
About the way she wore her hair
Didn’t bother her
That people stopped to stare

Some thought she was crazy
Some thought she was lazy
Some thought her brain was hazy
Just cause her hair was zany

But Janie didn’t care
It wasn’t that she lost a dare
Or got caught in a nasty snare
She just didn’t care
That’s all there was to her hair
There’s just nothing more there

One day when the clock struck ten
Janie reached a different zen
From looking at a bobbie pin
And from a little splash of gin

Went to a salon named Ten
They almost didn’t let her in
Till they thought about it again
Decided not to would be a sin

After about an hour
Janie had the hair of power
It was shaped into a tower
On the top a little flower

Everywhere Janie was seen
People stopped and bent their knee
Janie was crowned their beautiful queen
It was the most beautiful up do they’d ever seen
