Wait.. I forgot what I was going to say
But hell it’s really been a long day
And I have a lot of bills to pay
And I can’t be expected to be on all day.
We don’t use all of our brain
Is that what they say?
That’s not my brain’s way
I use all of it everyday.
So excuse me if I forgot you today
I meet a lot of people every day
And I don’t always know what to say
After the work day burns through my head
And makes it sometimes play dead
To recharge for more days of work ahead.
And don’t mind if I forgot what to say
I live in the electrical internet world each day
And I have really too much to say
To worry about any particular day
When my brain had too much to pay
And I forgot what I was going to say.
It could be the whiskey I drank today
I enjoyed drinking that all day
That has gotten in the way
Of what I was going to say.
Or maybe it’s the haze
Created by a mary jane daze
Can’t remember what I said
Is this something to care about on a Saturday?
There has to be some time to get away
And play all day.
Could be just a consequence of living it my way
Working and thinking at a perpetual fast pace
Brain cells start firing off to space
Plant derivatives added to the case
I can’t remember your face.
But remember it’s never ever the case
That I forgot because you’ve fallen from grace
Or that I lack social taste
It’s just life lived at a fast pace
Living to survive the rat race.
